1. Check that the bot is working
Type /ping in any channel on your server. If Stellarix replies with its response time, it's
working. If nothing happens, check that the bot is online and has permission to talk in that channel.
2. First step: turn on link embeds
The quickest way to see Stellarix in action is turning on the feature that turns X (formerly Twitter) and Steam links into nicer-looking cards. It starts off turned off, so let's turn it on.
Run this on Discord:
/stellarix-settings set feature:X/Twitter Embed enabled:True
Now, when a member posts an X link, it gets reposted with the video or images showing. You can turn on Steam links the same way. You can also flip this switch from the web dashboard, described next.
3. Log in to the web dashboard
For anything more detailed — like reviewing verification panels or editing join messages — you'll use the dashboard in your browser.
- Click "Log in with Discord" at the top right of the site
- On the "Servers" page, pick a server where you're an admin
- That server's settings page opens
Only people with the "Manage Server" permission on that server can open its dashboard.
